However, it depends on what and where that damage is and the type of damage. Sometimes, furniture or parts simply need to be repaired or replaced altogether.
It can be difficult to gauge the scale or severity of the damage from a quick phone conversation.
So the best plan of action is to send us an email outlining the problem and attach photos of the area or areas of concern along with a phone number to reach you.
We will be in contact with you ASAP to get more information if needed or to get you an idea of cost for the repair.
However there are a few caveats.
- Refinishing furniture is a time consuming process, so furniture refinishes are mostly done between our larger jobs.
- We only use modern wood finishes such as lacquers and conversion varnishes. If the furniture you wish to have refinished has EVER been cleaned with a furniture polish it WILL have to be completely stripped of the original finish or polish. Furniture polish can contain silicon. Silicon and modern finish do not get along, think “oil and water.” There’s a chemical reaction or separation called “fisheye” and it can be a real pain to deal with.
We can test your item for silicon contamination. If silicon is present, the piece must be completely stripped before it is refinished. Its not as simple as spraying a coat of paint on an old antique. You should be prepared for additional time and costs if we need to completely strip your furniture to bare wood before we can begin refinishing.
If it’s WOOD, you betcha.
Drop us an email and we’d be happy to talk to you about whatever you need.
Well this gets slippery, so let’s clarify. We can fabricate and install new components in your kitchen.
We can provide NEW:
- doors
- hinges
- drawer faces
- drawer boxes
to improve and update your look.
However we do not, in most cases, do “in-house” finishing. This means we do not refinish or paint anything in your house. We do not “reface” or apply veneer to the faces of your existing cabinetry.
Drop us an email to discuss what you need.
GREAT!
Make an appointment.
We wish we could say this was the first time I’ve heard that.
Sadly, it’s probably too late for us to help. We know this can be a challenging situation to navigate and we’ll be happy to help if we can.
Send us an email and we’ll see what we can do.
We also work closely with interior designers that are also happy to assist you room by room.
However, if you like us to design your dream kitchen, we are more than happy to assist.
We will take you through the process step-by-step. We will draw high resolution schematics that help you visualize and actually see every detail before hand.
These images are free with purchase of a kitchen from us.
However, if you like to purchase a set to take home, the purchase fee is based on an hourly drawing time rate.
If you decide to purchase the kitchen *as drawn,* that fee will be credited back toward your bill at final payment.
What to bring for the consultation?
Bring a fairly detailed idea of what you’re looking for. A little homework on your part goes a long way. Drawings, photos, images are all useful. Anything that helps to relay your ideas. A simple room drawing with approximate sizes is also a great idea. This helps to gauge room size or an idea of total cabinet runs for a set of drawings if any are needed. Design ideas, such as images from websites or Pinterest are a great start.
The first consultation is a general briefing on what it is you’re looking for, talking about your ideas and exploring different styles.
I’ll start a file with all your pertinent information and schedule a second meeting either in shop or onsite so I can pull hard measurements from the field if necessary.
The second meeting we will cover your design, layout and drawings, color options and estimates for the work to be performed. We will look at scheduling and timelines so you are kept up to date through the process.
During the third meeting, we will finalize any remaining details and sign contracts.
That’s all there is to it.
Once all contracts are signed and agreed to, your project will be added to the shop schedule and in just a short period of time it will be ready to go!
Once you are on the shop schedule you are the priority. We are careful to not overbook ourselves so that we are able to give each client our undivided attention for the duration of the job until completion.

I’m a designer and I met Mike through a contractor that I work with regularly. I was so impressed with the craftsmanship that he displayed on my client’s kitchen & bathrooms, that I hired him to custom build my kitchen & master vanity. Mike was patient with me to get exactly was I was looking for. His prices are fair & he goes over and beyond to accommodate schedule changes. Ever since I met him, I have continued to use MF Caseworks & highly recommend to my modern clientele!

We contacted Mike to assist us with building additional executive conference room tables to match the existing table that had been in the conference room for a very long time. Mike was extremely professional in providing an accurate scope of work and price for this project. His recommendation was to build four tables to complete a square shape. Throughout the process, Mike kept us updated on the project. He sent samples of stains to assure that he was matching the existing table appropriately. When he arrived a couple of weeks later, he installed the most perfect tables! They matched BEAUTIFULLY with the original table. They included outlets and power for laptops. These tables are gorgeous.Mike went above and beyond for us. He listened to our needs and created the most beautiful, elegant and perfect tables for our executive conference room. Mike stayed within our budget, our timeline, and our specifications. His craftsmanship is beyond comparable. We wouldn’t have trusted anyone else with this important job. We highly recommend Mike and hope that we can call on him in the future.
