In November, we started the installation of a little basement bar. Interesting to note about this project that the floor was out of level 1.5” in 8 feet. Wow!
Very little light to make this install a little more challenging than usual. After the countertops were installed, we installed doors and drawer faces.
We hold off on installing doors and drawer faces as a precautionary measure, when lots of subcontractors are working near and on the cabinets, accidents can happen, and they do. Better to be safe!

In December, we finished up this contemporary bar in Lee’s Summit!
Another beautiful basement remodel from Gary Brown Homes. Designed by Whitney Coulas of Interior Concepts KC!
Unfortunately the appliances were not in. Theres a refrigerator/freezer combo that goes in the tall cabinet (right of sink). After the fridge is installed panels will be applied to the front of fridge to give the illusion of cabinet space. Also a small wine refrigerator will be installed in the island.
All of the details and finishing touches have really helped transform this basement space into a welcoming and bright entertainment space.
